Our Beliefs
- We learn about grace in the Bible.
- We’re all sinners, no exceptions. And we need a Savior.
- Belief in Jesus is all that’s required to receive the free gift of salvation, nothing more and nothing less. It really is free.
- Once you believe in Jesus you have salvation, and you can never lose it no matter what.
- In the moment of belief, not only do you receive eternal life, but you also receive a new nature along with the Holy Spirit who now lives inside you.
- Finding Jesus imparts new life and following Jesus develops that life.
- Following Jesus is the only way to grow to become more like Him. And it’s costly.
- Grace is different from law. All believers are under grace and not under the law of the Old Testament.
- No one is ever transformed by trying to keep a set of rules or laws. The law can never get you to be good; it can only get you to act good.
- Followers of Jesus need to be with other believers to help them as they grow.
- God expects believers to invest their lives for Him. A life invested well results in praise from God.
- When believers die, they will give an account to God of how they lived. This accounting is not to determine if they go to heaven since that was decided the moment they believed in Jesus.
- Jesus will evaluate the life of each believer at the judgment seat of Christ to determine reward or lack of reward in the life to come.
- People who have rejected Christ as unbelievers will be judged at the Great White Throne judgment and will be separated from God forever.
- Spiritual growth is not automatic for the believer in Jesus. Failure to live faithfully is a very real possibility.
