An Eternal Perspective

I nside the DNA of the human soul resides a desire to live forever. Every human civilization has made plans for the afterlife. Where does that desire come from? It comes from God. God tells us “He has placed eternity in our hearts.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) Jesus made it possible for that longing to be fulfilled. Death has been defeated. Jesus’ offer to those who would believe Him for it still stands: “Because I live, you shall live also.” (John 14:19)

You must live with an eternal perspective! What are you doing today, that will change your face-to-face encounter with Jesus when you stand before Him? Remember we can stand before Jesus confident or ashamed. What makes the difference? If we are abiding in Christ and experiencing fellowship with Him in this life, we can stand before Him confidently.
